It always hangs or takes too long for next steps inspite of having a powerful Mac laptop.

We've used this app with great success with our two daughters since 2017. We experienced similar crashing issues that other reviewers reported, but were able to keep it working on an older macOS version. The developers finally updated the app, so we thought it'd be safe to update. That was a mistake!! The app no longer allows us to log in with our credentials and doesn't even recognize our email anymore. I sent them an email from their main website over a week ago and have had no reply. We will no longer be using this app. It hasn't had proper support for a year or two.

Enjoyed the app a lot. When actually tried to buy the subscription a slew of errors such as Invalid product id: mac.com.new.earlystart... keep coming up. Can't go any further without subscribing, can't subscribe either.

How does this have good reviews. Really really bad

App is constantly getting crashed after I payed for the monthly subscription.

I bought the 1yr subscription and it never unlocked the other content. I tried logging out and logging back in. Deleted then redownloaded the app. I conteacted the makers..nothing!

the app wont open after being shut down which means you have to redownload it and you lose your progress. Very frustratin considering I payed for the full program

Downloaded and uninstalled several times. Will not open. Stuck on “downloading sample lessons” for hours.

My son loves this application. His eyes light up so big when he hears the Monkey Junior theme song. Is it possible to add sign launguage as a visual reference in the app? He is picking up so fast teaching him sign while learning his phonics. After working with my wife and a developmentalist, he has about 2 dozen words memorized after only a few months of practice. He's also strting to combine sign, e.g. " Red Ball ".

THe app was doing well, then all of a sudden with it’s required upgrade, I cant open the app anymore, it keeps on crashing. I’ve sent multiple reports to apple already. How disappointing, especially when my son gets excited when the introduction starts.

great learning tool

My 4yo absolutely loves this app! This keeps her attention for the 30 mins while I my son practice his math and reading.

My granddaughter really enjoys playing this learning game. She looks forward to learning to read and playing the games.

Im writing this bc my baby girl loves this app and it say she can do free lesson if i do one of its good app i just cant afford it being a single mom of 3 i really wish they would make some of these free bc not everyone cant afford this and i want my babys to get practice for school it really helps.

My kids love this app.

My preschooler loves this app… when he comes home from school he ask to work on his computer homework. It’s easy to use for him.

My children love this game and its great for beginner readers or earlier. simple and effecient and keeps the kids entertained.

it’s amazing it shows kids how to learn about all types of thing in different types of languages. In this case my kids learnt french and they had a blast leaning every night before going to bed the would get the computer out and practice and they would be on it for about an hour before going to sleep, they absoulutely adore it and now they can even speak it and well i’m jealous since i am having a bit of a hard time understanding them.I guuess it’s my turn to learn a different language too :)

My daughter is really enjoying this app. It is fun but can be difficult to use if you do not buy the full library.

My son is loving this app so far. cant wait to see how far he can advance with it. Thank you for a great product. would be nice if they would give the child more time to read the word before saying it or when doing the word review they went a bit slower to allow the child to read the words.

My son loves playing this game and he is truly learning, plues I have to give a good rating to get more free lessons.

sorry. i have not been able to sepnd enough time with it. only two free lessons before it makes you write a review to explore more. my daughter is 4 and she seems to like it ok. not sure it is worth it to buy the whole thing yet.

games too expensive for all that it gives. it’s okay… and it lures you in, it also requires too much network access, and tracks too much of what happens on the laptop for a kids game.

My children really enjoy this far, considering purchasing it.

This has helped my daughter read quite a bit. And the best part is I dont even have to try and convince her to do her lessons, She asks to do them.

My son is a student in Florida, which has one of the worst educational systems in the United States. This program has significantly helped my son to become a better reader and even helped him to learn other languages. Thank you!

We have this on a Mac that is normally offline, since we don’t have fast Internet. We took the computer to a location with fast internet and spent several hours downloading all the lessons. But upon returning home, we discovered that only the original Mac user can access the downloaded lessons. We want to have our daughter in her own protected Mac account. Alas, all other Mac users (as opposed to inside-the-app profiles) require redownloading hundreds of megabytes of lesson files. Also, despite purchasing the whole US lesson kit, there is no way to download all the lessons at once. You have to navigate to each of the fifteen lessons and download them, which takes about ten minutes each on a fast Internet connection, and has to be baby-sat during the process. This is not good app design for multiple users!
